The Dry Dredgers March 2001 field trip to Georgetown, Ohio was another very successful trip. Cold weather and rain/snow had been forecast, making attendance uncertain. As it turned out, it  was overcast in the morning, but as afternoon progressed, the sky cleared and the sun came out, making the chilly temperatures acceptable for fossil collecting.

More than 20 people came out to collect the many large Vinlandostrophia ponderosa brachiopods that are found on this roadcut which exposes the Bellevue and Corryville members of the McMillan formation. (Maysvillian Stage of the Cincinnatian Series)

Here are some pictures from our stop at the first cut. You can see from the number of cars, we had a good turn-out.
