Crinoids
The best finds that day were crinoids.
See Pics of Cindy's Crinoid Finds
Crinoids that this author photographed include this nice specimen. Much if
the calyx has worn away, though. It's still nice.
Here's an Ectenocrinus. But it's hard to see because we wetted
it before I photographed it.
Several examples of crinoid stems bent in a circle, wrapped around other
fossils, were found. This is a type of
holdfast.
Trilobites
Most of the trilobites found were Flexicalymene. Of these, many
were partials on the surface of rocks. Here's a couple of them.
I think the specimen below was a Flexi, but looking at the picture now, with
the glare from the water when we tried to wash it, it looks a bit like an Ceraurus.
Whoever found this, can you send me an email
and let me know? Or bring it to the meeting.
Here's a cute little Rhusophycus (borrow) of an Isotelus
trilobite!
