Click Here for a list of who has rececived the award so far.The Paul Sanders Award of the Cincinnati Dry Dredgers provides funding to support paleontological research intended for publication. Special consideration will be given to projects involving one or both of the following:
Last years awards were for upto $1000 each but the coming years are yet to be determined.
Dry Dredgers, Inc. is a non-profit tax-exempt membership organization of amateurs and professionals formed in April, 1942. It is dedicated to stratigraphy and paleontology, particularly in the Cincinnati Series of the Upper Ordovician of the greater Cincinnati area. Its purpose is to stimulate interest and promote paleontology at all levels and to encourage the collection, identification, preservation and classification of fossils of all types. Throughout its history, the Dry Dredgers have encouraged cooperation among amateur and professional paleontologists.
Dry Dredger member Paul Sanders was a regular participant in Club field trips
and was known as an enthusiastic amateur and dedicated student of paleontology.
His untimely death saddened us all and the Dry Dredgers have named this award in
