Saturday evening, June 8 was Astronomy night at Penn Dixie. Normally there are lots of people and telescopes at this event, but this time it was very overcast so attendance was light.
When it finally got dark, the sky was still covered with clouds. But the expert
with the large telescope instantly found the planets Venus and Saturn.
I was suprised when I looked into the scope. Despite overcast skies, I was able
to see Saturn with all its rings perfectly clearly. Nice!
Thanks to the telescope and astronomy experts who made astronomy look easy.
Now let's see Ham Day at Penn Dixie
