Rain was forecasted for Saturday, May 27, 2000. We were very lucky. There was no rain until after the field trip was finished. The weather was overcast, warm and a bit humid for this very interesting site on private property in Northern Kentucky. To ensure that the site was not visited without the land owners permission, the Dry Dredgers met in the parking lot of Arbys on KY 17 and took separate cars to the site.

The turnout was exceptional with 28 people attending. Included in that number were some new members.

Here is the group gathering in the Arbys parking lot while Field Trip Chair Dan Cooper explains what fossils will be found today.

Upon arriving at the site, the Dry Dredgers immediately begin work

Here are some pictures of the Dry Dredgers finding fossils.

When the day was done, everyone gathered in the parking lot to show what they had found.
